How long have you been CrossFitting, when did you start? I think it was July of 2010, so about a year and a half
How did you find Field House Gym and CrossFit? James Blake introduced me to it.
How often do you make it to the gym and which class time do you prefer? I shoot for 5 days a week, just switched over to the noon class, much more time efficient, get some home time!
What do you do for a living? More than just a job title, what do you actually do and what do you enjoy most about it. I am a sensor operator on the P-3 Orion, mostly run radar, keepin' the crew from crashing into any other aircraft or radio towers!
Do you have a favorite skill/lift and why? I am a big fan of the power clean, mostly because it seems to be the lift that I progress more at.
What is your nutritional philosophy and why? Paleo! At least I try to as much as I can, anyway, cooking isn't my favorite thing to do.
What 3 foods do you always have in your house? Chicken, almonds, and apples.
Favorite physical activity outside of CrossFit? I like to do a little bit of archery, or fishing, but only if i'm actually catching the fish!
Who do you use as a measuring stick/who inspires you in our gym? Chris Spealler is pretty legit, or anybody yelling at me.
If you could trade places with any one historical person or live in any particular place or era, who, where, when would it be and why? hmmm... maybe the guitarist from Presidents of the United States of America (the band). That would be cool.
One thing most people don't know about you? I was a precision air rifle shooter in high school, and pretty damn good at it too.
What 3 songs would you like to see included in your ideal CrossFit playlist? 300 Violin Orchestra by Jorge Quintero, Slew Test 2 by Kid Koala, and Harvester of Sorrw by Metallica.
What was the last book you read? Treasure Island
If Nick were to regrow his hair what would be his ideal hairstyle? A short mohawk, awesome.
